This organisation provides technical engineering solutions for small-to-large scale construction/development projects. Today, the NSW/ACT Team is leading the way with the growth plans laid out – through the infrastructure announcements that the NSW Government has committed to as well as the housing boom. NOW is the time for the company to make that investment and add sales talent to their Team. You will be responsible for a designated Sydney territory which will also include a regional NSW run every 4-6 weeks. As the company is in growth mode, the role will require you to focus on acquiring new customers as well as continue to develop and maintain existing relationships.
Background – skill-set: I have intentionally not provided precise details of the solutions and services that the company provides, because you don’t need to have sold their specific product previously. But, what is critical is that you have a technical background with a sound understanding of the infrastructure and/or construction industries. Civil and mechanical engineers and surveyors, even with limited sales experience, would be looked upon highly. So too will solutions-focused salespeople with a technical aptitude.
Personality: this will determine your success to secure your role. People who are after ‘another job’ that will fill their time for a couple of years need not apply.
